Automated Hydraulic Shear System

This hydraulic shear project is another example of PROGRESSIVE’s project management expertise. The success of this project hinged on the design and build of a flexible material handling system integrated with a 20 ton hydraulic shear. This system enabled the customer to automatically shear product on all four sides from rolled plate stock. The material handling equipment consists of in-feed and out-feed conveyors, shear gauging systems, overhead Gantry conveyor system with programmable suction cups, scrap handling equipment, and controls.
